When most people think of kale they think of Lacinto Kale which is also known as Dino Kale. We are growing 3 different varieties of kale this year. One of those being the Dino Kale. The other 2 are Scarlet Kale, which is a deep purple color (we love color!) and the other is Siberian Kale which is a massive leaf kale. All of them can be used in the same manner. Kale is definitely a super food and is great to add to smoothies!

How To Store

Store in a produce bag in the crisper drawer of the refrigerator. It will stay crisp for about 3 days. It will be edible for 7 days but will limp over time. If you are going to cook it, it will be fine to eat if it has lost its vigor. If you see kale on its last leg, add to smoothies or soups.

Here is a website on how to freeze kale: https://www.hgtv.com/outdoors/gardens/garden-to-table/can-you-freeze-kale
